Vitiligo Trichrome

TRICHROME VITILIGO

Trichrome Vitiligo (TV) is the occurrence of three shades of color of the skin.

Clinical

Three shades of color from pure white (complete depigmentation of the skin) to an intermediate color to normal skin gives the clinical appearance of 3 colors.

Treatment

Some consider this a sign of rapidly progressing vitiligo where the partial depigmented areas are soon to be completely depigmented. Thus, "rescue" therapy with oral, intralesional or IM steroids is needed to try to prevent regression. See vitiligo for more treatment.
