TYSON'S GLANDS
Tyson's Glands (TGs) are prominent sebaceous glands commonly seen along the shaft of the penis. They represent ectopic sebaceous glands and appear unassociated with the hair follicle. Knowledge of their existence helps prevent confusion with condyloma or molluscum.
Clinical
TSs appear as 1-2 mm uniform papules at the base of hairs and are seen in about 1/3 of men. They may number more than 100 and are more common on the ventral surface.
Treatment
No treatment is needed nor available.
