Angiokeratoma of Fordyce
The scrotum is the most common location for angiokeratoma of Fordyce.

ANGIOKERATOMA OF FORDYCE

Angiokeratoma of Fordyce represents a benign collections of blood vessels and blood of the scrotum and occasionally the vulva or penis. The red/blue/purple color gives them away.

Clinical

Blue/red papules on the scrotum (and occasionally penis) are typical. Similar lesions may occur on the vulva as well. Bleeding may occasionally occur spontaneously or with minimal trauma. The individual angiokeratomas may be seen to stud tortuous superficial blood vessels.

Treatment

No treatment is necessary. Individual lesions can be cauterized if necessary.

Angiokeratoma of Fordyce
Lesions on the penis are less common.
