ABSENT FINGERPRINTS

Complete absence of fingerprints (AF) may occur sporadically or inherited autosomal dominant trait. Huriez syndrome (aka sclerotylosis) is an AD condition with congenital diffuse scleroatrophy of the distal extremities, mild keratoderma, nail ridging or hypoplasia and absent fingerprints. AF may occur in some ectodermal displasias.
