The trichofolliculoma is a benign adnexal tumor appearing as a solitary papule with a tuft of hairs.

Clinical

The trichofolliculoma--also known as a hair follicle nevus-- is an adnexal tumor of the hair follicle. A flesh-colored papule on the face with a central tuft of white, wispy hairs is characteristic.

Treatment

Simple excision or destruction after biopsy is appropriate.
