Rumpel–Leede sign

The Rumpel-Leede sign is the acute onset of petechiae distal to tourniquet application (e.g. blood pressure cuff prolonged during surgery as shown in picture to the right. (Courtesy of Charles H. Miller, MD).
A similar process has been reported on the lower legs of healthy infants spending time in baby carriers [JAMA Derm 2016;152;728].
