DIAPER PSORIASIS

Clinical

Some infants have a red, scaly rash of the groin similar to diaper dermatitis but with psoriasiform features. These patients have an increase risk of developing more typical psoriasis later in life. (Patients may develop classic psoriasis in infancy or even congenitally).

Treatment

Mild topical steroids should be prescribed.
