POROKERATOSIS PALMARIS PLANTARIS ET DISSEMINATA

PPPeD is a rare variant of porokeratosis. AD inheritance is reported.

Clinical

Multiple circular lesions with a hyperkeratotic rim on the palms, soles and body are characteristic. Typically, the palmar plantar lesions appear first followed by involvement of the body, but this order may be reversed [JAAD 1989;21;1131].

Treatment

Isotretinoin has been temporarily effective [JAAD 1985;13;598].
