Lipofibroma A soft, yellow papule on the thigh of a woman.


The lipofibroma is a benign neoplasm of fibrous connective tissue characterized by ectopic fatty tissue in the dermis.

Clinical

A nondescript, solitary papulonodule is most characteristic. A pedunculated form may occur. The fat may give it a yellow appearance.

Treatment

No treatment is needed. Simple surgical removal or shave/curettage may be done.
