LIPH GENE MUTATION CAUSING ALOPECIA

LIPH is a member of the large triglyceride lipase family that initiates the signaling cascade involved in regulating and maintaining the hair growth cycle. Multiple mutations in the LIPH gene have been reported to result in partial to complete hair loss on the scalp or development of woolly scalp hair.
